Great vegan icecream. Long slow moving line. Felt really bad for the employee. They literally had one single employee serving a long line of customers on a busy Sunday. She was getting the ice cream and ringing them up and doing everything single handedly. Felt so bad for her. She was great. That’s bad management and ownership

I had the most delightful experience at Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, all thanks to Ava! she completely turned my terrible day into a fantastic one. From the moment I walked in, her infectious smile and bubbly personality lit up the entire place. Not only did she help me navigate through their mouthwatering ice cream flavors (seriously, it's a tough decision with so many tempting options), but she also took the time to chat and share some laughs. Ava's customer service skills are out of this world, and it's clear that she genuinely wants every customer to have the best time. Honestly, Ava deserves a raise for being such a superstar. I'm already planning my next visit, and it's all because of her. She's turned me into a loyal Van Leeuwen fan, and I can't wait to be back for more ice cream and Ava's delightful company. Ava, you rock! Keep spreading those smiles and positivity. Van Leeuwen is lucky to have you on their team, and I'm lucky to have met you on my not-so-great day. You made it unforgettable! 🍦😄

I went on their opening day at the Georgetown location for the $1 ice cream. The line was really long and finally got into the shop after a 30-minute wait. There are a variety of flavors to choose from and I appreciate that you can sample them on a metallic spoon. I got Earl Grey tea and was pretty good!

Lots of unique flavors with a large vegan menu too. I've seen their pints at grocery stores but never tried Van Leeuwen. When we came it wasn't too busy. They recently opened their Georgetown location and are partnering with Baked and Wired by releasing a limited edition Dirty Chai Cupcake flavor. Unfortunately they were out when we came, but I hope to try that soon. We ended up getting one scoop of the brown sugar cookie dough brownie; the small size, and two scoops with the vegan strawberry shortcake and cookies and cream; the medium. Looking back we should have gotten the 3 scoop size and combined our order. Would have saved us around $4. It is on the pricier side, but fun to indulge in once and a while. The workers were friendly and allowed us to sample flavors. They are also currently giving free stickers near the register. Other flavors that looked good was their marionberry cheesecake, all the cookies, and of course the dirty chai cupcake. Hope to try one of those soon!
