St. Anselm is a standout dining destination in Washington, DC, offering a delightful blend of delicious food and a fantastic atmosphere. My recent visit was nothing short of exceptional. We started with Mimosas, which were perfectly balanced and refreshing, setting a celebratory tone for our meal. The highlight, however, was the Steak and Eggs. Cooked to perfection, the steak was tender, juicy, and full of flavor, while the eggs were a delightful accompaniment, cooked just right. The atmosphere at St. Anselm is warm and inviting, with a stylish and cozy ambiance that enhances the dining experience. Whether you're there for a casual brunch or a special occasion, St. Anselm provides a memorable setting. Overall, St. Anselm delivers on all fronts – excellent food, great drinks, and a wonderful atmosphere. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to enjoy a top-tier dining experience in DC. Highly recommended!

This is how steakhouses should be! Everything we had, from appetizers to entrees were amazing. The lamb leg in particular was very tender, juicy and flavorful. The steaks were also cooked perfectly and the knife just cut right through. Overall a great experience!

Came here for Easter weekend brunch, and I wanted to like the place more but I will call this a good enough spot of a brunch spot. Food was decent but was on the pricey side (for a NYC foodie): - The buttermilk biscuits were phenomenal -- fresh, soft on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside. - Also loved the blue crab deviled eggs, highly recommend. - The steak & eggs was alright; portion was on the small side, and taste-wise nothing to write home about. - The crispy chicken sandwich was on the dry side and can be more seasoned. Definitely had better elsewhere. Otherwise, my group loved the location and the restaurant vibe, but didn't get to fully enjoy since we were placed in the back room for our table reservation. Still, great service by the staff! Last point is that finding parking can be tricky given the time of day. There is a parking lot across the street or street parking.

Our waitress was amazing! Steak was very delicious. The biscuits had exceptional technique and were very fluffy (similar to a well-done croissant). Mushroom toast was very delicious as well. Oysters were very delicious as well. Mango sorbet was very floral / aromatic and was well-done, but you might opt for an ice cream, as it does have some sour notes. Sparkling cider at the end was an exceptional finish. Atmosphere was very fun and unique - would highly recommend coming here! Didn't like the okra, but that was probably because of the flavor profile (cajun bordering on bitter). Compares well with steak I've had in Texas / Japan.

What a treat! Five adults and three kids all enjoyed our brunch today at St. Anselm. We were seated in the smaller room tucked away from the main space. Though the room was chilly in a cold rainy day, it was quieter which allowed us to hear each other. Our server Layla was amazing. She provided information about the menu and accurately recommended how many dishes we should order. We started with the buttery biscuits and endive salads. The endives were large, crisp and hearty. The dressing was too acidic for some. We enjoyed all the main brunch dishes: chocolate chip pancakes, steak and eggs, ribeyes and sirloin steaks, potatoes and broccoli. All cooked to perfection. Desserts were good too especially that coffee with chocolate chips ice cream and cheesecake. I would not only go back but take anyone wanting a good meal.
