My friends and I walked in to II Piatto on a rainy Tuesday evening, just before 6pm and got a seat. There was no need to reserve and no wait time. They do not have an extensive menu compared to other places but everything we had was delicious! From the bread (which we got extras) to the pasta and desert. Each one of us enjoyed our meal with gusto!
The staff were all friendly, kind, and helpful. And the ambience was just perfect. Started getting busy from 6.30pm and I know it's because every customer knows they serve delightful meals.

The pastas were truly delicious. We walked in during the slow period, and no one was at the door to greet us. We waited maybe a minute for staff to notice but that was fine.
Our initial server was super pleasant. She was sweet and very knowledgeable of the menu. However, the guy who took our order was cold even forgot the drink order.
The meal made up for it. The calamari was a hit.
The ravioli was definitely a must try, and the seafood pasta was wonderful. Right balance of flavors.
I was disappointed a little with the braised short ribs. Not enough salt, and the flavors were a tad lacking. The polenta could have done with a little more cheese, but the texture was good.
The cheese cake was a welcomed finish. I've been wanting to visit for over a year, so I was very happy. And I will definitely be back.

Food is fine, not amazing, not bad. I would rate it a homemade level, thus tasty but not amazing. Servants were professional when treating you, but were "noisy" when around (speaking and joking loudly in Italy with their colleagues throughout the restaurant as the restaurant is not open). Otherwise no complaints, good environment. Oh, mandatory 20% service fee :) no comment

What can I say that hasn’t been said already? Amazing… nothing beats fresh made pasta to order, and they have it! Me and my two kids came in and they treated us wonderfully. Very attentive service and accommodating. The food is also appropriately priced, some what under priced for the quality. I am impressed.

Warm, welcoming, delicious Italian restaurant. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming and comfortable. I enjoyed the decor, and the service staff contributed to that greatly as well. A+ service. The table bread was crunchy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside - great for dipping into the special tomato gazpacho. The arancini with the tomato cream sauce was fresh and cheesy. We got two desserts the brulee cheesecake and tiramisu and both were delightful. I highly recommend the "first base" mocktail. I have no complaints at all about our time here and would love to come back.
