Their warm chip dip is a very unexpected and special blend of seasonings you will definitely enjoy. Their seafood chimichanga is oh-so delicious! Their rib fajitas just melt right off the bone. Both their jalapeno with tamarind margarita and jalapeno pineapple margarita are top notch. Finally, if you can and that is literally and figuratively a stretch, save room for one of their excellent desserts.

We accidentally discovered this restaurant while walking in Georgetown. They also offer brunch menu but we decided to browse their lunch menu. Their chips were made to order, their salsa is really good. My husband tried their margaritas he said it was very delicious. I decided to try their birria, it is heavenly! It melts in your mouth! Another highly recommended are their calamari and ceviche. It was very delicious there’s no other way to describe it. Service was fast too I think we got in just before the lunch rush hour started. I would say if you are in Georgetown, give this restaurant a try and you won’t be disappointed.

Good food, friendly people, and nice views of the Washington Harbour fountain from their patio; what more could you ask for? Stopped in for lunch after a Kennedy Center show. We were hankering for Mexican cuisine and margaritas. Guapo's delivered on both. Our server was kind and even asked if we were on a time schedule or not. They had a cruise ship full of tourists come through; so they were trying to make sure they respected any limited timeframes. We let him know we were there for a relaxed lunch and thanked him for the consideration. I ordered a mezcal margarita and really enjoyed the smoky flavor. Complimentary chips and salsa kept us busy while we waited for our ceviches appetizer. They have an entire section of their menu dedicated to the different styles of ceviches they offer. We decided to try the Tradito Citrico since it is noted as more of a sashimi style, and we love sashimi sushi. It was really good. Texture and citrus flavor worked well together. Next, we moved on to Tacos Al Carbon with steak for me and a steak burrito for my husband. Both were very filling. The steak was tender, not overcooked. We were thoroughly stuffed by this point; so no dessert on this trip, but maybe next time. Overall, it was a great experience, and we would come back.

Ambiance 🗣️ - Great atmosphere, suitable for visiting with or without family. There were tables with children, as well as tables of just couples, others of friends, etc. The variety was nice. The music was neither offensive nor boring, but had a steady rhythm that kept the place feeling cheerful. Personal note: I didn't need a reservation; on the day I visited (Saturday) at peak time, I called the restaurant because my original choice had closed, and this was one of the closest I found that closed "late". Food 🥘 The tacos were not exceptional in terms of flavor—I've had better at other restaurants. However, when it comes to size, they earn five stars. The carne asada, chicken, fajitas, shrimp, and oh, the pork ribs were delicious. The horchata had too much ice. In less than 15 minutes, it completely lost its flavor, tasting more like water with ice than anything else. Wait time was not bad, between 15-25 minutes for everything we ordered to the table. Portions were relatively good, with a per-person cost ranging from $30-50 (with a drink). I don't believe it would be less than $30. Service 👧 All the ladies were very kind, from the hostess at the entrance to the servers bringing food to the table. They were particularly attentive to the needs of the table, quite swift. I didn't have to go looking for them when I needed something (like asking for the bill); a simple glance around and someone would magically appear to offer assistance. Conclusion A place I would definitely visit a second time and would recommend to others.

Awesome place for food & drinks. When u sit down they bring u chips & salsa immediately. The chips are delicious, still warm & thin / crispy.. We also had the guacamole which was a huge portion. We also had the sizzling steak & chicken fajitas which were amazing also. Sat at the bar both times we went & our service was top notch. Great time, we'll definitely be back
