They got decent priced food during happy hour and the atmosphere is nice! Great for casual nights out

Dude, this place used to be my go to spot for quick Mexican-style food, but today was a total letdown. I ordered my usual - Chicken Nachos for pick-up ($15.75) on UberEats even though they do this 1/2 priced nachos thing on Wednesdays. I don’t mind paying full price so it’s ready when I arrive. It’s usually worth it. Got there, the vibe was cool, and the worker was chill AF, handed me my order. But when I was walking home, I swear the bag felt light, like, suspiciously light. Still, I gave it a shot. Opened it up, and bro, they straight up shorted me. Like, where's the rest of my nachos? Paid the full price for, like, a quarter of the usual amount. Not cool, not cool at all. Skipping this place from now on. Total rip-off.

Place was great, it’s outdoor. Food came out quick and the service was good. I heard that it gets really pack during the night. I went on a Sunday around 2pm and it was very chill. Food was very tasty and well presented. Definitely a good option when i visit DC again.

Staff is absolutely amazing. Every single of them. Kind, attentive, and seems like they truly enjoy what they do. I appreciate all of them. Best service on U st. Love El Rey & the delicious food & drinks. 20/10 recommended
