I have a few favorite ice cream spots in the DC area, and Dolcezza is definitely one of them. The only downside is that the last couple of times I went, they were out of pistachio - my absolute favorite flavor! Nevertheless, their ice cream is always creamy and bursting with flavor. This time, I got black sesame, banana, and dark chocolate - still delicious, but hoping for pistachio next time!

What a great little spot!! The gelato was the best I have ever had. The flavors were vibrant and had amazing textures. I had the dark chocolate, hazelnut and coconut. The coconut had actually crunchy toasted bits. I also got to try the blood orange sorbet. It was amazing. Not a ton of room inside but it has a few stools and table tops. Good spot for a quick date. I would absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone who loves gelato!!

Friendliest staff possible, they even let me try like 4 or 5 flavours!!!! It's really the best ice cream ever. I used to think Belmonte in London was the best in the world, but now that I've tried their gelato/ice cream, I must admit that it's even better 😍😍😍 really creamy, chcolatey, smooth, delicious and not disgustingly sweet.. just perfect :)

Wonderful place, I had clémentine with grapefruit-Campari and it was so fresh and fruity. I love sorbets much more than ice-creams which can be heavy. Highly recommend to enjoy one in the nearby plaza with the relaxing fountains, very soothing after a day of work.

Probably for the gelato; not so much the coffee. My friend sampled the grapefruit sorbet and enjoyed it. I bought a coffee cake and the cinnamon swirl inside was delicious, if rather sweet with my coffee. The chai latte was also tasty and appropriately sweetened. The issue was that two of us were there for coffee and unfortunately we found the brew watered-down and not smooth enough to make up for it, neither in my friend's espresso nor my decaf latte. After the foam and a few hot sips of my maple spice, the flavor stopped being able to cover up the vaguely off taste. Seating is limited with about half of the counters standing only. I imagine that's to not encourage people to stay because it was extremely busy the evening we went. Service was quite good though and the people who helped me very nice.
