Exceptional service and cozy experience I recently had the pleasure of visiting Compass Coffee on 8th street not to be confused with 7th down the street. From the moment I walked in , I felt welcomed by the friendly staff , who were both attentive and genuinely happy. Its rare to find a place where the service is so personal. They knew everyone’s order already. The cafe stands out in that regard. I also appreciated the little touches , like the inviting decor and relaxing background music. You can tell the team cares. If you’re looking for cafe with not just coffee but impeccable service I highly recommend. Im sure If I came tomorrow, I would get the same experience.

The chai was good, cheddar chive scone was good, but the service and ambiance were top notch. Rhamia was so friendly and kind and just went the extra mile on an already hard day for me. Also love all the little nooks to sip you coffee or tea.

There was way too much cream put in the coffee, and when this was shared the barista shared said that’s how it was. I’ve never been to a coffee place where they haven’t offered to fix a drink, especially if it was made too creamy.

Disappointing. Yes, I’m a bit of a coffee snob from Portland, OR, but no coffee shops should be pulling espresso shots into plastic cups. They also skipped my drink and I had to ask them to make it when they weren’t busy. And I think they used day old pastries for their samples cause the muffin they put out was very dry. Coffee was better than the hotel’s but not great.

I’m from out of town and came into this shop for some coffee. The baristas were so helpful and welcoming, they gave me a great recommendation for the maple latte which I loved! My lemon pound cake they recommended was also dee-licious!!
