The food was delicious . I had a crab cake as appetiser which was so good! I chose ribs as a main course and I can say that it was the best ribs I have eaten in DC. The desserts was spectacular too, Shish Kunafa - rose petals, pistachio , sweet cheese and strawberry rise syrup. Plus the cocktails were amazing too

Have you been to a Levantine restaurant? This place was so cute, with great ambiance in a prime DC location. We had phenomenal drinks, with a cherry blossom one that is phenomenal.
✨️ Fried holloumi: The most unqiue holloumi I've ever had, paired with delicious apple/apricot compote. If you're a holloumi fan you should definitely try theirs.
✨️ Spinach croquet: Great app, perfect bites of spinach!
✨️ Roasted Beet salad: My fav app we tried, The cheese and beets perfectly accompanied each other.
✨️ Tawook shish kebob: A classic kabob with great flavour.
🏆 Lavráki: A perfect grilled branzino, easily our favourite. A must try in my book.
✨️ Rumaan Denver steak: A fantastic dinner entrée that can do no wrong.
✨️ Jewels pilaf: Good side to have for the table, spiced well and made to share.
🍧 Antep baklava, Sumac ice cream & a cherry Kunafeh: The sumac ice cream was SO unique, I loved the Turkish cotton candy but the kunafeh NEEDS to be in the menu. It was cheesey, crunchy and paired so well with the tart cherries.
Overall, an awesome restaurant that takes traditional items and makes them 5x better. If you haven't been here yet this is your sign to!

I went to brunch at Ala with a group of 9 for a birthday celebration. The bottomless mimosa bar was excellent - we all loved the fruit syrup options, the fruit slices, and the rose petal/spice additions. The food was pretty good but not quite at the level I would hope considering the prices. The fried halloumi was delicious, as were all of the desserts. The entrees were fine but not good enough to warrant the $$$ prices.

Ala has amazing food, service, and space! I came here during DC's Restaurant Week and loved their menu options for a fixed price. Everything was delicious, the sweet potato hummus was my absolute favorite along with their Golden Cauliflower, it was packed with so much flavor! Service was great and slower for a Friday lunch. They also are part of the Too Good To Go program/app to reduce food waste, all of their pastries are amazing! I can't wait to come back!

It was on my list to come for brunch to Ala and it met our expectations. Food is delicious, portions are perfect, staff is friendly and prices are really good. The Challah Mahshi toast and the Lacmacun were my favorites
