I think we came in right before closing, which I hate and try not to do, but we tried to hurry. They still served us, which was so amazing and kind of them. The food was amazing. Really great place to sit and talk and eat.

Nice pub with a good selection of beer on tap and classic british pub fare.
We ordered the chicken pot pie and Mac & cheese. Most meals do not come with a side dish – so we ordered a spinach salad to share. The salad was nice, but the mushrooms were a little dated.
The chicken pot pie and mac & cheese were served very hot.
The server was pretty good, although he was alone and seemed stressed.
Overall it was a decent meal.

Their potpie is a comfort food work of art. I walked a mile from my hotel to get to this Irish pub and I don’t regret a step!

I came yesterday to catch the Liverpool v Man U game. There were a few people watching EPL games which was nice, big group of Hammers fans in the back. For the 1130 game I came to watch the bartender told me they would keep the game in the adjacent room to the bar. That room had plenty of TVs, crammed with tables and chairs. I will come back to catch a game here. Food was OK, I ordered the Virginia ham Benedict. Beer selection is what you'd expect at bar.

A great place if you are looking for a traditional Irish pub/Sports bar in the midst of all the themed pricey cocktail bars in DC. They are home to many european soccer fan clubs, F1, college sports and Boston sports fans. They have great service and solid food for the price, it's hard to find a better deal in DC.
