Annie has been around since 1948. Last time we were here was 2009 however the place still exist and it's even better. The staff very attentive, the food comes quickly and the size is good too. Crab cake bites is good size to share and the dip is divine. Bull in the pan and pork chop they come in good size, Im fact we can't even finish it. They are tender and juicy. You should end ur meal with coconut cream pie.

We looked up a steakhouse with good reviews and a reasonable price and Annie’s Paramount Steakhouse was the one. My wife isn’t really a steak fan, so she ordered the salmon sandwich with fries, which was just a bit overcooked and needed more sauce because it was a little dry. However, she said that she would get it again. I had the grilled 12 oz ribeye steak with a baked potato and steamed broccoli. The baked potato was ok and the broccoli was barely warm. I’ve gotta tell you that the steak was the star of the show, as it was tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere was so, so… Surprisingly, the key lime pie that we shared for dessert was on point. I’d go back for the steak and pie…

A nice and quaint spot to eat. The staff was very, very nice and the atmosphere was bustling and comfortable. My friend calls it a diner but it wasn't that for me. The food was cooked to perfection. Generally, steak tips are tough and overcooked. The tips were marinated well and on point. I will definitely be back to try some of the other dishes walking past me 🤭

Pleasant welcoming atmosphere with a friendly server for our close friend’s birthday celebration. Steakhouse pitch, but utterly disappointing (even humiliating) outcome. Not only was my medium-rare order terribly well-done (barely pink and leathery); but “the chef” sent it back to the table insisting that I cut it down the middle to “confirm the overcooking.” With our entire Party now embarrassed and shocked, I complied. Our server Brandon agreed that it was overcooked, then took it away “to replace it.” I asked that they wrap it to go (since everyone had already eaten); only to discover the day after, they wrapped the exact overcooked sliced cut of meat. No replacement. Fortunately, they’re doing so let me share an authentic pic. Sad that an institutional establishment such as Annie’s —which we’ve patronized for decades— has fallen to such depths. If you’re willing to pay >$50 with tax for a proper Washington DC filet mignon steak, I recommend you go to a steakhouse which offers proper cuts and preparation; as well honest and professional service i.e. not ruin your special event.

Unpretentious steak house on 17th Street in DC. Honestly, it is the best steak and eggs I have ever had anywhere. The service was outstanding. The food was tasty, and the atmosphere was welcoming. The area is well known as being historically gay friendly. I am obviously a straight white male. The staff couldn't have been more cordial. Our server made great recommendations and was just very attentive even though he was busy. By far, the best dining experience I've had in a long, long while.
